Four generations of the Smith Family welcome you to share the traditions of our island home, Kauai, and become part of their ‘ohana. In sacred Wailua River Valley, the Smith Family has created a tropical paradise to celebrate the Hawaiian spirit of aloha with the most famous of Hawaiian celebrations, the luau.

Enjoy a feast consisting of luau menu favorites such as kalua pig roasted in the earthen imu oven, teriyaki beef, mahi mahi, tasty chicken adobo, lomi salmon, fresh poi, Hawaii sweet potato, mac salad, namasu salad and scrumptious tropical deserts.

Later, move to the rhythm of the Aloha Show, colorful authentic performances from Hawaii, Tahiti, Samoa, Phillipine, New Zealand, China and Japan in the spacious open-air, torch-lit “Pele Amphitheater” (complete with erupting volcano).

Smith’s Family Garden Luau is offered Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays beginning at 5:00 p.m.

Driving directions:

• From the north (Hanalei, Princeville, Kapaa): Take Hwy. 56 South through Kapaa to the Wailua River. Go past Kuamoo Road, over the river, and take the first right into the Wailua Marina State Park.
• From the south (Waimea, Poipu, Lihue): Take Hwy. 56 North from the Lihue airport. A mile after the Wailua Golf Course, watch for Marina signs and the beach on the right. Just before crossing the Wailua River bridge, turn into the Wailua Marina State Park.
